Darling Indeed is a bay black reverse appaloosa female from the exciting pairing of Luna’s Catalina and RainbowRanch’s Top Knot.

Her dam, Luna’s Catalina, is a true black female with grey influence on both sides of her pedigree. Catalina is the daughter of 15X Champion and 2X Judges’ Choice winner Aussie .38 Special, a highly respected light rose grey herd sire known for producing elite fleece, density, and consistency. Catalina’s dam, A Paca Fun’s Luna, is a medium silver grey female whose genetics continue to contribute color potential and quality throughout her descendants. Catalina herself has long been valued for her strong conformation, beautiful fleece, and the depth of color genetics behind her pedigree.

Her sire, RainbowRanch’s Top Knot, has matured into an impressive herdsire whose influence is already being seen in the next generation. Top Knot is the son of Apache Gentlemen, a striking harlequin appaloosa, and RainbowRanch’s Maggie. His quality was recognized with a First Place finish in the Multiple Color Yearling Walking Fleece class at the 2023 AOA National Show under Judge Arturo Peña. Top Knot is known for combining appaloosa genetics, strong fleece characteristics, density, brightness, and balanced conformation. He has already produced offspring in a variety of colors and patterns, demonstrating his ability to pass on both quality and color diversity.
